Music Arrangement, everything started with a Story of Dream Chasing…
My journey in music arranging traces back to my time as a middle school student, where I harbored a dream of establishing a string ensemble at my school. Determined to see this dream come to fruition, I took the initiative to create and lead a brand new string ensemble alongside my schoolmates.
During that period, the internet was not as accessible, and my school did not allocate any funding for the string ensemble. This posed challenges in sourcing music for our group. To cut costs, I resorted to hand-writing music arrangements for the ensemble. The skills I developed during this process became invaluable later on when I became a cello teacher, allowing me to arrange suitable music for my students.
Upon my arrival in the USA, I had the privilege of meeting numerous professional cellists. I began arranging music not only for them but also for my own performances. Over time, I realized that transcribing and arranging music served as a gateway to expanding the cello repertoire.
Currently, I am actively involved in creating music arrangements for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra youth program, Texas Cellos/Texas Cello School, and the Greater North Texas Youth Orchestra. I also share some of my arrangements here for others to enjoy.
I firmly believe in authenticity, whether in Christianity or music performance. All of my arrangements are based on the original text of the music, striving to stay as close to the Urtext as possible while incorporating personal interpretations that enhance the music's suitability for cello.
If you come across music that you believe would be well-suited for cello, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I am more than willing to create cello solos or ensemble arrangements based on your suggestions. Additionally, if you notice any errors in my music, I am open to feedback and will gladly provide corrected versions.
All the music arrangements shared here are in PDF format, ready for printing. Thank you for your ongoing support! I hope you enjoy the music and continue to accompany me on this journey of musical exploration.
Cheers,
Emmanuel
